GENERAL SURGERY

General surgery, despite its name, is actually a surgical specialty. Surgeons practicing general surgery at TMC are highly skilled doctors that typically operate on a wide range of ailments, such as:

  • Abdominal problems, including appendicitis, hernias, gallbladder surgeries, stomach and intestinal issues.
  • Alimentary Tract (esophagus and other organs)
  • Breast, Skin and Soft Tissue
  • Endocrine System

In addition, our general surgeons have knowledge and experience in:

  • Surgical Critical Care
  • Surgical Oncology
  • Trauma

To see a general surgeon, patients typically need to have a referral from their primary care physician. Your physician can schedule a consult with any TMC general surgeon by calling 816-404-0099. Or TMC doctors can place CLINIC CONSULT GENERAL SURGERY HH in your electronic record and it will be sent to the appropriate surgeon, or they can specify which surgeon they prefer.
